V28-2 Colvin House and Architectural Tour

On the lovely afternoon of Sunday, April 9, EHS members joined up with the Pleasant Home Foundation for a tour of Edgewater’s historic landmark the Colvin House, the Berger Park’s landmark Downey Mansion, and other architectural gems. Over 120 people had signed up for the tour which broke up into four groups. Kathy Gemperle, LeRoy Blommaert and Bob Remer assisted as host docents at the Colvin and Downey sites. Angela Valavanis, co-founder of Creative Co-Working, and owner of the Colvin House, was gracious enough to open the house for the tour while it is undergoing repairs in advance of opening as a co-working space.
