V28-2 Annual Meeting Speaker and New Board Member

Vol. XXVIII No. 2 - SPRING 2017

On Saturday, March 18th, EHS held its annual meeting at the Edgewater Branch Library, elected new board members, and heard from author/photographer Larry Broutman, who shared images and information from his newest book, Chicago Monumental, a study of Chicago’s vast public art through photographs. The slideshow included 3D images. Broutman’s gorgeous hardcover coffee table book was available to purchase at the event. Larry Broutman’s photography projects include work with Lincoln Park Zoo, Africa Geographic, BBC Wildlife, Children’s Memorial Hospital Clinic, and The Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. All author proceeds are donated to The Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Disabled, and Access Living, Chicago-based nonprofit service agencies.

The membership heard a number of reports on EHS progress this past year, including record high number of members (582). The following directors were re-elected: Dorothy Nygren, Tiffany Middleton, Martin Stewart, Morry Matson, John Holden and Joanna Hazelden; and new to the board we elected Mark Richardson. Welcome, Mark.
