Gloria Gahagan

Gloria is a lifelong resident of Edgewater and a witness to the events of the past 80 years. Volunteering was always part of her family tradition. For Gloria it began as a young girl participating in the WW2 Victory Gardens project, providing fresh vegetables to the community. Her family had as their motto “Nothing is good unless shared.” They practiced it daily.
Giving to the community is the natural thing to do. It was expected. She was constantly volunteering for projects to aid others. Gloria found her lifelong commitment after her mother’s death when she saw the need to establish a group to help with the grieving process, helping people cope with the loss of a loved one.
For 29 years she has become dedicated to helping people transition through the last phase of life with the elder care- helping people confront end of life issues and smoothing the path.Gloria believes life is like a coin. One side is joy; one side is sorrow. But you can’t spend the coin without both sides.

“My philosophy is very simple.
It’s three words, faith, family, and friends.”
