The City News Bureau of Chicago was the legendary news service that shaped generations of reporters and defined Chicago’s journalistic identity.
Author Mark Wukas captured his experience as an overnight police reporter at the bureau in his novel “The Kiss of Night.” James Elsener and the late Paul Zimbrakos co-authored “Sirens in the Loop: A History of the City News Bureau of Chicago.”
