This list was compiled by LeRoy Blommaert in 2021. For 2010 and before when Care for Real was a program of the Edgewater Community Council, the list was compiled from documents in possession of the Edgewater Historical Society. Few lists of steering committee members were found. Instead minutes of the steering committee were examined and if a person was listed as either being present or excused at least one meeting of that year the person was shown as a member for that year. Minutes have been found for the earliest years 1971-1976. After that there are years where no minutes have been found. After 2009, lists of board members are from the records of Care for Real as a separate organization. For consistency the IRS forms 990 were used to record board members. The organization’s fiscal year is from March through March of the following year. Since the majority of the months were in the prior calendaryear, we used the prior year. Thus for example, board members listed in the organization’s 990 covering the 2013-14 year were counted as members in the 2013 calendar year.
