1862 Map Showing Edgewater Section of Lake View Township

Though the heading reads "1862" this map is a portion of the 1861 W. L. Flowers map, Chicago History Museum (ICHi-27578).  The heading was added to this section of the map.

The names shown are the owners of the land and the numbers that appear near the names are the number of acres owned by them.  The large numbers (5, 6, 7, & 8 in Edgewater) are the section numbers.
