V27-3 Wanted: Edgewater Living Treasures award nominations

Vol. XXVII No. 3 - Fall 2016

The Edgewater Historical Society (EHS) is seeking nominees for its 2017 Edgewater Living Treasures Award. The EHS invites Edgewater residents to submit the name(s) of anyone whom they feel is deserving of the award by October 10, 2016. Nomination forms can be accessed through our website. They can also be picked up at the Edgewater Historical Society’s Museum, 5358 N. Ashland, during regular museum hours. Winners of the award are at the sole discretion of the Edgewater Historical Society.

The Edgewater Living Treasures Award honors those individuals who have made significant contributions to the community by enhancing the quality of life of its citizens.

An Edgewater Living Treasure is a person who makes an outstanding contribution to Edgewater, someone who is an example of community action helping neighbors to accomplish worthwhile goals. These are people we admire for their dedication to real change, and their determination to have positive ideas turn into reality. Nomination forms can be submitted by one or more individuals.

Edgewater Living Treasures are residents or former residents of the Edgewater area. Preference is given to retired individuals, because they have a fuller life experience.

However, persons of any age can be nominated. Couples and organizations can also be nominated. One or more recipient(s) will be named by the Edgewater Historical Society in 2017. The award is one of recognition and has no financial value. Awards will be made in person by the Edgewater Historical Society.
