Trucks and Edgewater (Past)

Trucks were special innovations along Edgewater’s Northside Motor Row. They were invented, manufactured and marketed differently from cars, and ultimately evolved into different vehicles. “Motoring Through Edgewater” curator Tiffany Middleton will motor through truck history, from war to national tours to businesses right here in Edgewater. August 23, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Museum.

Tiffany Middleton is co-author of The Clydesdale Motor Truck Company: An Illustrated History, 1917-1939, which details the history of trucks through one independent truck manufacturer. Ms. Middleton will focus on the differences between truck invention and culture, using examples from Edgewater. A limited number of copies of the book will be available for sale following the program. Light refreshments will be served. Space is limited.
