Those Were the Days Radio Players (Past)

Relive the Golden Age of radio drama with “Those Were the Days Radio Players” - Chicago North chapter. On Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Edgewater Branch Library (6000 N. Broadway), the Radio Players will perform two programs:

The Jack Benny Show: Jack Buys Don Shoe Laces for Christmas was originally broadcast on Dec. 8, 1946. The radio series ran from 1932 until 1955 and starred Jack Benny and Mary Livingston, with Eddie Anderson (Rochester), Don Wilson, Dennis Day and many others.

Father Knows Best: Christmas Program was originally broadcast on Dec. 24, 1953. The radio series ran from 1949 until 1954 and starred Robert Young as Jim Anderson and Jean Vander Pyl as his wife Margaret.
