Christmas Radio (Past)

Those Were the Days Radio Players
Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Free to the public

Join us for an afternoon of laughs when the Those Were the Days Radio Players present two 30-minute radio comedies. First, listen to “Christmas Present Money,” which originally aired on December 11, 1941 on the Vic and Sade show. The second play will be “Christmas Shopping,” which originally aired on December 13, 1947, on the Archie Andrews show.

Before or after the show, please plan to explore Edgewater Grocery Stores, the fun and informative new exhibit at the Edgewater History Museum. The exhibit traces the evolution of over-the-counter service grocery stores in the late 19th century to ethnic and specialty stores in the early and mid-20th century, to the beginning of chain stores and supermarkets as we know them today. The exhibit will run through March 24, 2012. The museum is open from 1-4 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, except major holidays.
