To Serve and CollectThe next meeting of the Chicago History Book Club will be Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Edgewater Branch of the Chicago Public Library. The books to be discussed are: “Courtroom 302: A Year Behind the Scenes in an American Criminal Courthouse” by Steve Bogira (Knopf, 2005), “To Serve and Collect: Chicago Politics and Police Corruption from the Lager Beer Riot to the Summerdale Scandal” by Richard Lindberg (Southern Illinois University Press, 1998), “The Wagon and Other Stories from the City” by Martin Preib (University Of Chicago Press, 2010), and “Split-Second Decisions: Shootings of & by Chicago Police” by William Geller and Kevin Karales (Chicago Law Enforcement Study Group, 1981).
