2012 Annual Meeting (Past)

Our 2012 annual meeting will be March 24, 2012 at the Broadway Armory, beginning at 10:00 am. Everyone is welcome to attend. We will have a brief business meeting, including the election of directors (only members will be able to vote). If you are not already a member of our outstanding organization, you will have a chance to become one on March 24.

After the brief meeting, our speaker will be Richard Lindberg, author of over a dozen books including the Return to the Scene of the Crime series, To Serve and Collect and Shattered Sense of Innocence.

Then we will hear from Morry Matson, EHS board member and curator of our upcoming exhibit “Crime and Community in Edgewater.” He’ll give a preview of this interesting and informative exhibit.

Light refreshments will be served. More information will be sent in a few weeks.

Also, on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 2 p.m., Professor Paul Green of Roosevelt University will be speaking at Emanuel Congregation, 5959 N. Sheridan, on the topic, “Mayor Emanuel, the City and the Jewish Community.” Admission is free to Chicago Jewish Historical Society members; non-members $10.
