Edgewater Home Tour 2012
On Sunday, September 16th the Edgewater Historical Society has planned the Annual Home Tour for the Highlands of Edgewater. The neighborhood is a special one in the northwest corner of Edgewater , west of Clark/Ashland, north of Ridge. The tour begins at the Eritrean Orthodox Church of St. Mary at the corner of Highland and Paulina.
Many of the homes on this tour are by architects Hatzfeld and Knox and Edgewater architect A. E. Norman. We will see the Norman family home on Granville. All the homes are within walking distance and feature housing from 1900-1930 and include Arts and Crafts, American Foursquare, Queen Anne and Bungalow. Of special interest is the home of Theodore Rozek which has recently been named a Chicago Landmark. So mark your calendar and be there to support the EHS museum.
