This summer beginning June 13, 2009 the Edgewater Historical Society Museum will display two unique exhibits. The first will be the beginning of an Edgewater Timeline. It will feature some of the important dates in Edgewater history and photos from our collection. Volunteers who would like to help organize this exhibit are welcome and should contact Kathy Gemperle through our website.
The second exhibit will be a feature the 1909 Burnham Plan of Chicago and the changes along the Edgewater lakefront with maps and photos. We are interested in any contributions to our collection which show the shoreline between the years 1886-2000. We do have some postcards of the early shoreline but we could always use more.
