New Programs at the Museum

Vol. XVII No. 1 - SPRING 2006

This year we have organized programs for each month. Here’s a little update on what will be happening this summer.

On June 27 at 7 p.m., the EHS General Meeting will honor Bud Wyman with a lecture by Jim Landing, Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is an expert on birds in this area and tell us more about how the birds migrate along our lakeshore. So mark your calendar!

On July 25 at 7 p.m. We will host Award-winning author, humorist and Chicago journalist, Ray Hanania. He will speak about his book “Arabs In Chicagoland” and will bring along copies for sale. This program is a part of our continuing series on Edgewater’s immigrants which was begun p by Bob Remer as a study called Edgewater Counts. We hope to learn more about the Arab American Community in Edgewater.

If you want more information about Edgewater Counts for your group just contact Bob through the museum at 773-506-4849 and he will get back to you. There will be more about Edgewater Counts this Fall.
