We Remember

Vol. XVI No. 1 - SPRING 2005

On February 28, 2005, a tragedy struck the community of Edgewater and the Lefkow family when Michael Lefkow, the husband of Judge Joan Lefkow, and Donna Humphrey, her mother, were found murdered in their home.

Since that day, many neighbors in Edgewater have joined in the Lefkow family’s grief with prayers of support.

The Lefkows have supported the Edgewater Historical Society, participated in some of our events and Michael had offered consultation on the management of the museum just a few weeks before his death. Michael was a generous person who was interested in our community and his neighborhood. He will be remembered for his enthusiasm and willingness to help in any way he could. Much has been written about the tragedy but there can never be enough said about how we all feel the loss of Michael and his wonderful spirit.
