Our Sympathies
Heartfelt condolences to EHS President Kathryn Gemperle and her family. Kathy’s 86-year-old father, Edmund L Duskey, who had been battling cancer, passed away on July 27, 1995. He is survived by his wife, Theodosia, two sons, two daughters and five grandchildren. Edmund grew up in Rogers Park and attended St. Ignatius Grade School, Loyola Academy and Northwestern University.
EHS also mourns the passing of one of our members, Warren Eugene Huguelet. Warren, 83, died on July 18, 1995, a victim of this summer’s first killer heat wave. A graduate of Senn High School, he earned a Purple Heart in service of his country during World War II. For the last nine years, Warren acted as news letter editor and group coordinator for Troop 888 - The Pine Tree Patrol, a Boy Scout troop that was formed in 1926 and met continuously at the Church of the Atonement until 1949. He is survived by a brother, two nephews, a niece and a cousin.
