Be a Museum Docent

The Edgewater Historical Society Museum is managed by the Board of Directors and many volunteers. It is open each week on Saturday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. We would like to expand our hours. The possibilities for more open hours are:

• Saturdays 10-5 p.m. This would mean two shifts:
• Sunday afternoons 1-4 p.m.
• One weekday evening 7-9 p.m.

This would mean being open 26 hours per month. As we do now, docents would sign up for 3-4 hour shifts, one per month. It would take six additional volunteers per week. Or, if a lesser number apply, perhaps four. All volunteering is done in pairs. Sometimes there is work to do, such as mailings. Sometimes it just time to welcome guests and introduce them to the exhibit. Training is provided and WiFi is available. Contact us at the phone number listed at the bottom of the page.
